St Laserian

Information

Laserian (or Molaise) worked in both Ireland and Scotland in the 7th century, later entering the monastery at Leighlin, where he became abbot. The monastery thrived and gave its name to the diocese established in 1110. He adopted church discipline in accordance with the practices of Rome. Died in 639.
