Sacred Space

Lord,
in this place
we come to revere
the beloved memory of those gone before us,
those we have loved.
In this hallowed place
we ask you to bestow on them
the joy of your peace,
that they may know eternal rest.
In this sacred place
we seek solace,
trusting that one day
we will all be with you in Paradise. Amen.

Please remain at home if you feel unwell and follow the guidance of the stewards if you attend. Please consider offering your help to the Parochial House as it will be necessary in the time ahead. Please don’t leave it to the usual willing people.

From a headstone:

Remember, stranger passing by:
as you are now, so once was I;
as I am now, so you will be;
therefore prepare to follow me.
