Bishop Deenihan wrote again this week to urge compliance with health guidelines . . .
I believe we need to limit attendance at 11.30am Mass on Sunday mornings to 50 persons. To facilitate this I will add an extra vigil Mass in Rathkenny at 7.30pm on a Saturday evening on a trial basis from next week until the end of September. Please consider attending either Mass in Rathkenny so as to keep numbers below 50 at each.
Thanks to our sacristans, stewards and cleaners who make it possible for us to celebrate Mass and thanks to the large number attending Mass that require these measures. People are not attending Mass in such numbers elsewhere.

Our Gospel today sees Jesus offer some advice on living in community. He first acknowledges that communities are far from perfect. We all struggle with our relationships and duties. But he makes one thing clear: in a community we all have a responsibility to each other and to work to build harmony. Triona Doherty, Intercom.
