Bishop Deenihan writes “ The prospect of celebrating the Easter Triduum without the participation of the Faithful is not what any of us would have wished, but let us also be mindful of that Easter metaphor that joy, new life and resurrection follow isolation and suffering. We all look forward to being able to meet again soon.”
He encourages neighbouring parishes to celebrate online and I will do so with Fr Timothy in Lobinstown, and can be accessed on the Lobinstown Church YouTube channel (See link on Front Page).  Leaflets for Holy Week are available from the churches to help you follow the ceremonies at home.

We’re all conscious of how hard the lockdown is on mental health, and on business
and careers in the future. Please keep going. It’s great to meet people who have got their vaccinations, which will be our way out of this situation. In spite of the frustration, please try to be patient with yourself and others.

                                        Prayer for Lent
Loving Father,
to prepare for his mission of proclaiming your kingdom to the world,
your Son, Jesus, was guided by your Holy Spirit to the quiet of the desert.
In these Lenten days, I pray that I will be guided by that same Spirit,
to a place of renewal in my heart and mind,
so that I will seek opportunities for daily personal prayer,
personal sacrifices and acts of kindness.
With your help, may I too be truly prepared
to share in the story of the Passion, Death and Resurrection
of Jesus, your Son, our Lord.
Amen.
