St. Elizabeth was born in 1207. She was the daughter of King Andrew of Hungary and was the wife of Henry VI of Thuringia and mother of 3 children. After the death of her husband she became a Third Order Franciscan and dedicated her life to serving the poor. St. Elizabeth died in 1231.
