Information

St. Cosmas and St. Damian were brother physicians who were martyred around 303 A.D. According to ancient documents, Cosmas' tomb is at Cyrrhus in Syria along with St. Damian. There a Basilica was built in their honour. St. Cosmas is mentioned in the Roman Canon (Eucharistic Prayer I). They are the Patrons of Barbers, the Blind, Druggists, Pharmacists, Physicians, and Surgeons.
