St Patrick's N.S.
First Communion for 2nd Class Pupils of St Patrick's School, Stackallen
Jesus gives His Body
“I am the living bread that has come down from heaven. If anyone eat of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is My Flesh for the life of the world.” The Jews argued with one another, saying, “How can this man give us His Flesh to eat?” But Our Lord did not change the meaning of His words. Instead He said what He meant with even stronger words, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the Flesh of The Son of Man, and drink His Blood, you shall not have life in you. He who eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has life everlasting, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My Flesh is food indeed, and My Blood is drink indeed. He who eats My Flesh, and drinks My Blood, abides in Me and I in him.” (excerpt above fromThe New Catholic Picture Bible: First Communicants

“No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a bowl;
instead he puts it on the lampstand, so that people may see the light as they come in."
